Tips for making Rhinestone Transfers, I can help!!!

Rhinestone Transfers and Motifs, are one of the most beautiful things,  But they are also hard, I recently read that a Automated Rhinestone machine takes a average of over 5-10 minutes per Transfer to lay  190 stones down.
So if it takes you a lil time to figure out how to use templates, dont be discouraged.
Start Slow.
Take your time. I will be here to help.
Your first design should be simple and you can always go on from there,
What is a complex or advanced design, to stay away from?
It would be a filled design , or a design with mulitple Stone sizes, or a 2mm design. There are
   advance designs.

Get a few transfers done before going to more complex designs or you may become really frustrated..

Here are some Tips.

Not everyone is made to make transfers, if you don't like intricate work, or small detailed work, i will gladly make the transfers for you.

If you have your stones sticking in your template here are some reasons why!
*******************************************************************
1. Pressed the stones in to hard.
I push my stones in and then lay my tape over, if using reg transfer tape, i do not push down on a outline  design, but let the tape do the work , go back and gently and softly rub the top of the stone with the tape,
if it doesnt pick up you have rubbed to hard and now the stone is staying in the hole as it is being held in by its facets.
Pick the stone with a weeding tool or dental tool in the hole to move it, then retry to pick up the stone, by doing this you have released the facets from the round sides.
I find  a soft hand works much better and faster than trying to pick the stones out if i pushed to hard.

Now, if you are using Monkey tape that is reusable!

I like a firm hand, for sure with 2mm stones, and Monkey tape, Monkey Tape is  a lil more expensive but it is reusable, and I would use nothing else on 2mm stones. They can be lil buggers to get out of the holes, so Monkey Tape has more tack to the tape and the tape does not bend like mylar of silicone, and does not hold static, so it pics up the stones awesome.
Like i said it is more spendy but i have used a piece more than 7 times,, and still had stick left to it. No it acutally is cheaper in the long run and you can work faster.

How do I start to roll the tape off with stones attached?
I start in the lower left hand corner, and roll from that corner to the upper right hand corner. I dont know why but it works,

When I brush my stones in some are laying upside down!
Make sure you are using circular movements to put the stones in the templates, if you are just brushing them in, they will go in the wrong side up, do circular movements and they will pop to the right side.
The more stones you work with the better, as the stones work with each other to crowd the stones into place.
So Get a nice circular movement going, and the majority of the stones will be face up, soon you will have them all face up with a lil practice.

Mulitcolor Stone Templates
Now These are hard to do, but not impossible  I cover a area that is next to a area that I am doing so stones dont go in with my finger, but with a multicolor template, you will be pulling out stones with a needle tweezer from holes that do not belong if colors are next to each other and stones are all the same size,
this will be one of the most time consuming transfers you will make, but also more expensive on the retail end.
I like to break my colors up with 3mm and 2mm stones, so I brush in the larger ones first, and then go with a different color in 2mm, it makes it alot easier, but then you have a higher stone and a shorter stone in one template, so then you just need to use Monkey tape to make a good adhesion to the top of the stone to pick up short and tall all at once.

You can save alot of Money making your own transfers, but go slow and learn as you go, dont start with a complex logo,
A great way to start is get a order, have me make the template, have me make the transfers for the order, when they arrive ,start pressing and fill the order, but then use the template and learn as you go, dont think you can get a template made of a complex logo, never having done transfers and make them your self under pressure to get your order out, You will be so frustrated , you will want to throw everything out the window, Please start slow, i am here to help you,
I love what I do, and I do what I love. Rhinestones.
